The most frequently asked question by Jambites in the past few days is "What is the cut-off for FUNAAB?" Some say it is 180, while some say it's 200.
The truth is, no one can say for now
Let's briefly explain how it works. After JAMB UTME has ended, JAMB gives opportunity for Change of Course/Institution. This usually lasts a month.
After this, JAMB registrar meets with the VCs, Rectors and Provosts of various Tertiary Institutions in Nigeria to agree on a cut-off for that admission session. Most times, the conclusion of the meeting is this:
But the problem is this, each school reserves the right to choose their specific cut-off. For example, every year, JAMB sets the cut-off as 180, but schools like UNILAG AND OAU still set their own cut-off as 200.
That was exactly what FUNAAB did last year, inspite of the fact that JAMB cut-off last year was 180, FUNAAB set her own cut-off as 200. Hence, FUNAAB JAMB cut-off for last year (2014/2015) session was 200.
Coming to this year (2015/2016). Although, it's too early to predict what FUNAAB cut-off will be, but it's safe to assume they'll stick with that of last year (i.e. 200)
When will FUNAAB announce their official JAMB cut-off?
FUNAAB will announce the oficial cut-off when the Post UTME form is out!
Conclusion
There is no official cut-off for FUNAAB yet. Any cut-off you see online is either that of last year or deception. Keep checking www.unaab.edu.ng for authentic info and always visit www.funaabconnect.com for updates.
